CONCORD MASSACHUSETTS

A lovely day on Wednesday...gasp...90 degrees.  Thank Goodness for a lovely breeze. 50 and drizzling today, such is spring in New England!  Concord is a beautiful town full of reminders of our quest for freedom.  Also the host of some lovely shops.  The following pictures were quickly snapped about town and in 3 of the 4 antiques shops we visited.

Hmm...looking at these I am thinking the post should be labeled "A Study in Blue and White", it is certainly where my eye lands and no, I didn't buy a thing!

Later,
Janet

  1. Back in 1998 we paid a visit to Boston and were picked up by my penfriend and taken to Concord on the way to her home in Nashau, it is a lovely place, I did not have a chance to see any of the antique shops, pity!!!

  2. What a lovely tour. There are some beautiful things there to look at. The closest I ever got to Boston was Cape Cod and Hyannis Port oh and Newport RI. Also went spent some time in Nantucket. Thanks for a great post. Blessings

  5. So many pretty things! Maybe one day...yet right now it is more garden work than antique shopping! Our weather has been the same, close to 90 then it drops for a few days. Next week in the 70's. that will be nice!

  6. Janet ,

Great job on the pics...I'm still thinking about the platter we found under the bed in the Upstairs antique shop (actual name of store)...Martha

  8. Used to visit Concord often when we lived nearby there - lovely historic town. Of course in those days I wasn't into 'treasure hunting', now I can see so many pieces of china there I would give my eye teeth for! I would have a field day if I visit again!

We plan to be in Peterborough to visit Red Chair on July 1 - any chance you can meet us there?

  9. Concord has some fantastic antique shops. I took a photo of that same house, isn't it wonderful?
