Stonington Connecticut

Stonington is a charming coastal village with a history that dates back to the Revolutionary War. I have dubbed it "Nantucket without the Ferry Ride".  Come along and enjoy a sunny spring day.






               Perhaps my favorite, but so many gorgeous ones to chose from!








There seems to be a lot of Greek Revival architecture in town, many homes with more subtle ode to Grecian style than this example.

I have a couple more pictures, but I will save them for another day.

    i must be hallucinating: is that a split level cape? the gray one with the white fence and two flags??? how ? what? i love these photos. and really love the no-ferry aspect.

    You know what my favorite is? The cute 1 story gray one closs to the street. I can see it now......:)

    I'm putting this on my list of places to visit SOON. It is only an hour away. Tomorrow's trip is to Avery Point, CT. We are taking the birthday boy, my son-in-law, for a lobster dinner by the water. Also on the list to see is Mystic. Thanks for the tour. Nancy
