Chalk Paint
I am going to an Annie Sloan Chalk Paint workshop tomorrow in Bristol Rhode Island. Am I the very last one to get in on this trend??? It's about an hour away and it is not a formal workshop, but I have been told that all the colors and waxes will be available to try and lots of info will be bandied about..much chatting etc. My friend Martha and I will make the trek, play with paint and then wander about the lovely seaside town and probably eat a delicious lunch. It is supposed to be sunny and only in the 60s so it sounds like a perfect day. So, what are your plans for tomorrow?

I haven't tried the chalk paint yet....been thinking about it. Let me know what you think after playing with it. Your weekend sounds lovely.
ReplyDeleteWe are going to a "movable feast" at the Biltmore Estate on Saturday evening. The feast will be outside overlooking the back of the estate. It should be fun.
What a fun day out, what are you planning for your chalkboard adventures?
ReplyDeleteLOL! No you are NOT the last one. I haven't used it yet. I have been thinking about it though.
ReplyDeleteOh you lucky duck - that's the paint I want to try! Let us now how the workshop was, did you buy any (know it's expensive), and if so what will you paint? I want to do an armoire but it's such a big project and I've not found a chunk of time to get started.
ReplyDeleteHugs from us all.
Hi Janet....thanks for you kind words on my new pool!! I waited a long time for a nice backyard.....How funny your going to work with chalk paint...I just finished reading my friends blog from Michigan and she talked about working with chalk paint....I have heard of it but had no idea what you did with it....Hope you do a post on your day....especially the seaside eating part...LOL
ReplyDeleteHow funny! I was just checking in before heading to a website about THIS PAINT! I just finished putting my first coat on several pieces and am needing to find out how to apply the wax. Did you have fun at the workshop? Any completed projects?

ReplyDeleteI love the idea of chalk paint ... I'm thinking of putting it in my daughter's bedroom!
ReplyDeleteNope, I think *I* am the last one! Let us know how the workshop goes...I might try it someday!
ReplyDeleteLove,
Sue
Oh my, that does sound like the perfect day! I haven't tried the ASCP yet either - but would love too! Thanks for your kind feedback at Everyday Lovely :)
ReplyDeleteSo...How did the workshop go? I just bought some Louis dining chairs that I would love to chalk paint, but Annie Sloan might send me to the poor house!
ReplyDeleteThank you for popping by my place!
