Tarragon is my favorite herb. I love the minty, anisey flavor on or in chicken, eggs, green beans...you name it. It reminds me of France...more about France at another time. Each season I try to grow it, but it seems to just sit there in the sunshine and refuse to grow very much. Must be doing something wrong.
So what is your favorite herb?
Later,
Janet
You know, I love tarragon too, but I have never tried to grow it. I grow rosemary, oregano, basil, italian parsley, chives and mint. I am going to try tarragon.
ReplyDeleteI love all herbs....fresh especially.
Basil is my favorite and easy to grow too. Love it with fresh peaches, tomatoes and even in cheesy eggs. Mm-m good!
ReplyDeletetarragon is too flowery for me - kind of like earl grey tea. am i weird? but i love thyme, basil, cilantro, parsley, all of which are growing in the back yard. BUT in honor of you i will give it the ol' college try...jkj
ReplyDeleteBasil for me...tomatoes with basil and mozzarella!...(and I'm a New England blogger too, from RI)

I love almost all fresh herbs, but I must admit that I am not a big fan of cilantro. Actually, I think it is because most people are heavy-handed with cilantro.
ReplyDeleteBASIL of course Janet~I'm Italian!LOL! I love to grow herbs & have a section in my formal english garden just for them.Of course I use cocoa husks as mulch so a chocolate scent is mixed in!LOL!Tarragon is one of my favorites as well as rosemary. I love working near the herbs & just taking in all their distinctive scents. I am daydreaming about warm weather & the gardens~how about you? That man you used to work with says "HI!"LOL! :)
