File this under

File this under...why didn't *I* think of this?? I was reading helpful tips/ hints in some magazine the other day and they said instead of filing each magazine (say Country Living) from January to December in a box or whatever method you use...why not file all the October issues ( fall decorating) of all your favorite magazines in a box, all your November ( great Thanksgiving ideas) in a box, all your Christmas issues together...I know you get it, right?? That way every year when you are looking for some great fall ideas, just pull out the October box. Brilliant!! I am working on the transition right now...whoops...I may need to take a trip to Ikea to get more magazine boxes. A tough job, but someone has to do it.

Later,
Janet

  3. It sounds like you love organizing as much as I do. Even re-organizing with a different method is fun. Enjoy!

  4. Great idea indeed!

Regarding my home..., yes I live right by Riverside Drive in Tiverton where it merges into Main Road. So cool..., yes there are some fairly new condos I know of (if it's them).

    So long.

  6. Wow! I actually di dthis years ago...should I have marketed it?? *grin* I used to save all my mags...beginning with teh first Country Livings and Country Homes.
Saved all the Victorias, ME Home Companions, etc. I still have each issue of MEHC. Lots of Victorias too. But our movers got tired of packing all my beloved magazines so I went through and took out pages from many and sorted them by ideas/recipes/house tips...
Then I sorted the ones I kept by months.
I had it like that for awhile, until we moved here.

  7. That is such a brilliant idea!!! I had to laugh when I saw the cover of CL on your blog...my mom just told me she tore off that cover because she hates spiders and it was bugging her to see it laying around with that big spider on it! Haha!
