MAINE AGAIN

The pictures above were taken on The Marginal Way, a walking trail that runs above the ocean for over a mile in Ogunquit Maine. The house belongs to a very, very fortunate homeowner. Imagine how much a home overlooking this view is worth ;>)

These bottom pictures were taken on a beach in York Maine. Maine does not have many sandy beaches, but the ones it does have are certainly divine on a beautiful mid-September day.

Off to a Birthday party for my French amie, Valerie.

Later,
Janet

  4. Really, really pretty. Our beaches are flat...no beautiful boulders like that!

So glad you enjoyed the break...thanks for the pics!

  7. ......and to think just a few months back the sand was invisible, covered by toasting bodies and beach umbrellas! I love it in the Fall/Winter like this. We used to walk the Marginal Way too - gloating at those cliff top homes, knowing we'd never, ever be able to have one, sigh! Did you eat clams at Barnacle Billy's at Perkins Cove?

Glad you enjoyed the trip - looked like nice weather.

I do love the bowl I found - it's huge so must have been part of set - wish I had the pitcher too! Your red one must be pretty - make sure to show us.

Just dropped Bob at RDU International - he's in New Orleans this week. Jasmin and I are having a bagel at Panera Bread - no school today. She says 'hi'. Going to pop over to Homegoods and TJMaxx now!

    Hugs - Mary.

  8. We stayed at York Beach, not too far from the ligthouse, and loved it. I am only sorry we didn;t have more time there and that it rained almost the entire visit!!: )
Would love to go back but for now I am enjoying visiting thrpough your photos!
I am excited that you have a turkey platter like the one I found!! Yours is more special as it is a family piece but I do love mine...I feel guilty only paying what I did (Does that make me a BAD yard sale-r?) but that is what they asked and I promised it would have a good home. It wasn't a family piece for them. She couldn't remember where she had picked it up but thought SHE had found it in a yard sale years earlier.

    Love,
    Sue

  11. I lived in Maine for 18 years but never with a view of the ocean. When we lived in Freeport (back when it was a little town) we used to get lobster fresh off the boat and eat at a table right on the water at Haraseeket Lunch and Lobster.
