CELEBRATORY GIVEAWAY



Several of you have mentioned this book lately. I got my bookclub copy a couple of days ago and after reading thru it decided that it would make a fun giveaway. I went to Borders to no avail, but found a copy at B&N. To celebrate my 50+ posts I am going to have a drawing. Please leave a comment on this post by Monday@11PM EST. I will pick the winner Tuesday morning which is ( feel a shameless plug coming on??) my birthday. Wait a minute, maybe the giveaway should be my birthday giveaway instead of 50+ posts. Anywho, if you send someone to my blog and they mention you I will give you an additional chance and if you "advertise" my giveaway on your blog ( and let me know) I will give you another chance. Lurkers, please prepare to "come out" for this great opportunity. In the spirit of international peace and harmony this giveaway is open to a world wide audience.

    Hmmmm - so what year were you born? It seems so many bloggers are SOOO young! I always think I am the same age, and then realize that when they are talking about their kids, they are toddlers, not teenagers and post teenagers! Oh well - but realized too late we share the EXACT same b-day- and I was just curious what year? I mistakenly added mine to my email addy - I got flustered when they said there are "other" Diane Carlson's and stupidly put down my bday, year and all! So I am 11553, so this year is a semi big year-gulp! Anyway - gotta get to work - gotta get something done! (with emphasis on something) But one thing nice about this date is now adays it has become a holiday for everyone with MLK day! And I even get a day off of work - with being a teacher aide and all! Okay, enough blathering - Have a SUPER birthday there twin!

    I stopped in from Notes from a Cottage Industry, where you'd left a comment saying there was a giveaway. Curiosity being one of my biggest failings, I had to see what it was. Then I checked your profile, and had to laugh at this: "I read so fast that I often forget what I have read rather quickly." Yes, I am someone of a certain age who also does that! The advantage to all this is you can approach a previously read book and enjoy it all over again as much as the first time.

    Maybe we'll end up in the slammer together! I also love 'glancing' in windows during an evening walk. I think rooms look even better framed by the curtains and lit with warm lighting.     I like what you've done with your snowman. Adding new life to an old character is fun and in a sense "recycling" it, don't you think? I like to do this as well. I even buy things that I do not like the color on and repaint them before I use them in my home.
