I just found out that my favorite magazine is in jeopardy. I read it here and here. It can't be true that after all these years of creative ideas, great decorating and monthly trips my reliable MEHC will cease. I am devastated. Anyone know how to mount a campaign to keep it going??

no way! oh no! I like that one too!
ReplyDeleteI had heard this, but don't know of a campaign to save it. I bet the SITS gals would post about it since everyone who uses their site is a homemaker in some fashion. Do you belong? http://thesecretisinthesauce.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteNOOOO! I love M.E.! She always has the most fun and creative decorating ideas, perfect for my houseful of children. I wish that there was a campaign to save it.

WHAT???? I had not heard! And I have a subscription! In fact, I have a subscription that is supposed to go well into 2012! I LOVE this magazine/ i remember finding the first copy, an October issue, in Concord, Massachusettes. We were there an a long weekend and I stopped by a little book shop. I wanted to get something to read that night at the inn. from that day on I was hooked.
ReplyDeleteI actually got to meet Mary when we lived near St. Louis. she is one of my inspirations! I woudl hate so much to see this go!!!
Love,
Sue
Maybe it won't happen or maybe it'll come back. Victoria did :)

Hi Janet...
ReplyDeleteI heard that too. I was a subscriber, but I have so many magazines that I let me subscription expire last month. Your fireplace is looking good!
I saved all of the paperdolls from my subscription. I meant to frame them and hang them in my daughters room. She's now 17, not so cute. Maybe the grand babies? It would be a shame to see the mag go, a sign of the times?
ReplyDeleteYes, I read about it a few days ago. So sad. I love that magazine!

Say it ain't so!
ReplyDeleteI adore her magazine. My heart is sinking, but I will do what I can to try to save it.
Thank you for letting us know.
