I have had to turn the furnace on! I always wait as long as possible and try to keep the heat set as low as possible for as long as possible. Fortunately I am very warm blooded, just as unfortunately Hubbie is not. Thus begins the Winter of Our Discontent!
I was trying to hold out until the 15, but I put it on this morning, too. Just to 62, though!
ReplyDeleteI haven't had to do that yet and hope I don't have to soon but it was chilly this morning outside!
ReplyDeleteWe have that same problem, but it is because my mother (who freezes in the summer) lives with us.
ReplyDeleteI feel your pain...my daughter and I have made a pact to avoid the furnace until at least Thanksgiving. I hope we make it. Fortunately, the temp is supposed to hit 86 today (I'd rather have it a little cooler), with lows in the 50's overnight.
ReplyDeleteYesterday was our first of the season also. I do love the change of seasons.
ReplyDeleteNo furnaces on here. We sleep with the windows open unless it's in the 30's. Not looking forward to the oil bills this winter, though...

Too funny, we have the same thing in this household. I'm usually about twenty degrees warmer than hubby. He's already campaigning to turn on the heater and I'm arguing not only no on that but stop shutting the windows! It did get pretty chilly the last few nights and I've actually been willing to shut the front door after the sun goes down.
