A LITTLE MAXINE HUMOR FOR THE HOLIDAY

Thanksgiving with Maxine

Okay, so the cartoons didn't load; I am sure you have seen many of them before. My parents came down from Vermont a day early to avoid all of today's rain and now my schedule is all off, plus my MIL is not doing very well, so I have become Nurse Jane FuzzyWuzzy ( anyone remember Uncle Wiggly's muskrat housekeeper??). While my parents are contentedly watching Family Feud on the Game Show Network...someone spare me please...I am sneaking a bit of computer time, maybe a few games of Super Text Twist or Web Suduko to relax before the cooking marathon begins.

Wishing you all Best Wishes for a Happy Thanksgiving

Later,
Janet

  7. Hi,

I just found your blog via Little Red House. I _love_ old beautiful buildings and I have added you to my blogroll. Hope it's ok.

Looking forward to follow your blog.

    Kind regards,

  8. We don't need Maxine to make us laugh - we have YOU dear friend!!

Hope the holiday turned out well and that your family helped. For once we were invited out to friends and had a wonderful time - even though I still helped a bit in the kitchen, which was fun.

By the way - Penny is in Henderson, NC - up in the Western mountains - not Hillsborough. But she is hoping to get over this way some day and I'll look forward to meeting her - she's so talented and a lovely lady.

Hope you've been able to rest up today Janet - surely you weren't at Kohl's at 4 AM like some!!!!!

  9. Okay...I just laughed out loud and I had a huge mouthful of hot cider...so, now that I have cleaned up the keyboard...I have SO been there on holidays. Oh the stories...someday we will share them over dinner and giggle like idiots. Okay, so *I* giggle like an idiot but hey...
Still, we love them right? I always ay that someday it will be ME driving my kids crazy during the holidays...oooh.

I hope it was a good day for you all...get some rest this weekend...: )

    Love,
    Sue

  11. Hi Janet,
I, too, am a housepeeper. I love to drive around at night and look into windows to see how the room is decorated. Went to England in 2007 and my pictures are of houses, signs and landscape. The English paint their doors bright colors. I think I may have told you that before. Keep taking pictures and sharing with us.
